  5. About archiving or deleting Champions

1. What are Campus Champions

  • A central component of CareerOS is professional networking
  • Students use CareerOS to reach out to employees at their target companies to learn more about the application process, the culture and career paths
  • Companies can nominate employees to serve as Campus Champions at their target universities
  • These Champions serve as brand ambassadors and are open to informal chats with students from the universities that they have been nominated to
  • Employers can select employees who are alumni of target universities, who are good messengers and are happy to represent their company
  • This way companies take control of who represents them at their target universities
  • Upon nomination, Campus Champions will receive a briefing on CareerOS and their role

2. How students interact with Champions

  • Students receive contact suggestions in many places across the app
  • This includes the company profile, the overview board and the contacts page
  • Campus Champions will appear prominently in these places as contact suggestions who were specifically chosen to chat with students from their university
  • Students will only see active Champions who have been nominated to their respective university
  • Students can reach out to the Champion from CareerOS and chat directly to their LinkedIn or email - Champions themselves do not need to be on CareerOS
  • Students will see the "demand" of a Champion - if many of their fellow students are in conversation with this champion, this will shown to avoid overcrowding

3. How to add Champions

  • Head to this link and click "Add Champion" to add your first Champion as an employer on CareerOS
  • Adding a new Champion requires you to give their LinkedIn URL, work email and current role (e.g. Senior Consultant)
  • CareerOS pulls the Champion's contact information, name and profile image
  • You can always come back and change the work email and role - the LinkedIn URL cannot be changed
  • Next, you will be asked to select the universities for which you want to nominate the Champion - select as many checkboxes and click "save"

4. How to edit Champions

  • If you want to edit the work email, role or name of a champion, click the "edit" icon in the Champions table
  • If you want to change the LinkedIn URL, you need to add a new Champion
  • To change the target universities of your Campus Champion, click the "university" icon in the Champions table and modify the selected universities

5. About archiving or deleting Champions

  • Using the switch on the far right side in the Champions table activates or deactivates the Champion
  • If a Champion is deactivated, they will not be shown to students as a Champion anymore
  • Students who have already saved or engaged with a now deactivated Champion will still see them as a contact
  • The activation and deactivation of a Champion is reversible at any given time
  • By default, a newly created Champion is always set as active
  • To permanently delete a champion, click on the red "trash" icon on in the Champions table
  • If you deleted a Champion, you can always add this person again at a later stage
